Ideas tested through human stories
A demonstration goes well. An answer sounds confident. A schedule turns green. Then someone asks a question that changes what everyone thought they were seeing.
Idea Arena brings those moments into view through original dramatic debates about work, technology and the choices organizations make. Its characters disagree, follow a problem into unfamiliar territory and sometimes change their minds. The pleasure is in the exchange: a sharp observation, an unexpected connection, a little humor and the moment a difficult situation begins to make sense.
The stories, dialogue and illustrations are generated with AI and refined through FCG’s creative process. Paul Fletter directs the project through Fletter Consulting Group.
Why Paul created the Arena
Paul Fletter created Idea Arena as a playful way to challenge Fletter Consulting Group’s own thinking. Contrasting perspectives gave business questions room to develop. The Arena could entertain him while helping him examine the firm’s ideas, decisions and ways of working.
He wanted room for curiosity, wit and unexpected connections. A character could challenge a comfortable assumption, defend an unfashionable idea or discover that another perspective explained the problem better. The stories give that exchange continuity, so one conversation can open the next.
The aim is to enjoy the thinking and carry something useful back into work: a better question, a practical experiment or a clearer understanding of what matters.
A creative space inside Work OS
The Arena sits within FCG’s Work OS, the working environment Paul is developing to connect organizational memory, responsibilities, tools and review. It helps preserve context across work and makes the relationship between evidence, decisions and human judgment explicit.
Within that environment, the Council brings strategic perspectives to questions of values, direction and long-term consequences. The Citadel provides a research and review role focused on sources, methods and the strength of a claim. These names describe parts of an AI-supported operating design, with Paul retaining human authority and responsibility.
The Arena gives ideas a creative place to meet. A debate might reveal an assumption worth researching, a strategic possibility or a way to explain a difficult concept. Promising ideas can enter research, strategy, innovation or marketing review before becoming approved work. A compelling scene alone grants no authority to change a project or publish a claim.
How AI participates
Idea Arena is an AI-assisted creative project developed through Fletter Consulting Group. AI is used to develop drafts, generate dialogue and create artwork. Paul directs the project; the extent of his hands-on review and revision varies by episode and format. Illustrations are AI-generated.
The characters and conversations are original dramatizations. Historical names identify intellectual perspectives. Their dialogue is not a record of those people’s words, and their appearance implies no endorsement.
AI can introduce errors, oversimplify an idea or misrepresent a source. Claims and interpretations remain open to checking and correction as problems are identified. The use of review roles does not guarantee that every line has received independent verification.
Workplace cases are fictionalized or composite situations shaped around real business questions. Proposed solutions are possibilities to examine. They do not establish validated results or authorize changes to anyone’s live operations.

Read for the characters, the disagreement or a situation that feels familiar. Then consider what the story helps you notice in your own work. A useful conversation can begin with one person asking where the same assumption might be hiding.
